Shazia Ruybal Pesántez
Junior Leader Fellow | Research group lead in Genomic and Computational Epidemiology
I lead a research group in pathogen genomic and computational epidemiology at the Barcelona Institute for Global Health. As a genomic epidemiologist with expertise in population genetics, epidemiology, and modelling, I’m interested in combining these approaches to population-based studies of infectious diseases, particularly malaria and other vector-borne diseases. I am also committed to open science, reproducible research, and the development of tools and software for research, and practical analytical tools for public health.
